Seattle Central Public Library Tour

Interested in a tour of the library?

I'm one of the library trained docents and architectural tour guides and have presented hundreds of public and private tours at the library since its opening in 2004. My tours are free, but tips are welcome and appreciated.
For contact info see below.

The Seattle Central Public Library has stopped offering public tours lead by library trained tour guides, but offers several possibilities for you to take a tour by yourself.
  • Self guided tours are available at the Welcome Desks on the 1st and 3rd Level.
  • Dial the number posted on the walls to listen to staff members talk about different departments (I spoke in the text for #18 on the list, or Level #10)
Looking for a private architectural tour?
For a personable tour guide who knows her way around in the public arena of the library like no other,  one who can fill you in on the hiring process, design concept, structural entities, Worthwood, LOLL LEED, LEW, LEAP and more, you'll want a real person.
  • Contact judith at dutchessabroad dot com
  • Tweet in English @dutchessabroad, or in Dutch @inhaarmoerstaal on Twitter.
  • Leave a voice mail message at (206) 486-5085.
